About plans getting fucked up
I used to think that God is one of my best friends. That He is the one kicking my ass when I do it wrong, that He is the one picking me up when I’m sad, sick or lost, and that He is the one smiling and winking at me and patting my shoulder when I finally do something right…
Friday, when the phone rang and Bossu’ said we can’t go to the seaside because there are some problems on Cornelushu’s project, I began to thing that God has more important things to do than watching over me. Cornel worked all night. He couldn’t solve the problems he had, so we still weren’t going to the sea. So I was sad. Super sad :( But then, God probably had a flash back about me (I can see Him slapping His forehead, saying “Oh, shit! I forgot her!”), because He picked me up again. We shopped all Saturday morning (not me and God! I have other friends too…), to spend all the money we had saved for the trip. And everybody knows shopping is good for a girl’s health :D At least, for her mental health, for her spirit. Around 3 o’clock we went to McDo to eat. And feeling the sun and the heat just couldn’t stop us to think about the great weather we would have had in Constanta.*** So we decided to go somewhere, to take advantage of the sun, and to invest our good post-shopping spirit. So we got into the car, and drove towards Plaiul Foii. There we had the best ceai de fructe, clatite and papanasi ever! Though it was kind of chilly up there, we didn’t want to go back home. So we returned through Predeal, and stopped to drink a coffee. Around 11, we got back to the agency for some more chitchatting (gossip, mostly), coffee and smokes. There, we ran into another friend that was on his way to a party and we went with him (I don’t recall if we were invited or not… But I recall us not giving a fuck about that) and we partied until 6am. And this is how a day that we thought would be fucked up, was actually spicy, great and not at all boring. (Now I can see God wiping the sweat of His forehead, and phew-ing, relieved)
Today I got up from bed around 2 o’clock, just on time to catch the visiting hours at my dad’s hospital, and to go see him. I came to the agency, and by 2 hours I’m waiting for Cornel to wake up and join me for a coffee and smoke. I washed the dishes, cleaned the rest of the agency’s kitchen, got bored ant wrote this post… He is still not here. Tzutzu (Tzutzuleeeee!) is busy today (barbecue), and Greg is working, so I don’t have absolutely anything to do. (God is probably tired from yesterday. Or He is taking care of other desperate beings. Is the birth rate in growth, or what!?)
Tomorrow we’ll be working (catching up with some delayed chores), but maybe we’ll make some time to go into another ad-hoc trip. It’s proved that this is safer than a well, one-month-in-advance planned one…
***Weather.com says the weather sucks there these days, but the guys from ProFM say it’s great. They keep twisting the knife in the wound, saying that, and talking about the great time they have in Mamaia, with their concerts and DJs. Well, fuck you and your concerts, dudes!!!
